Named after the nightingales that sing throughout the spring, Les Rossignols is a detached three-bedroom character cottage with its own splash pool, set in a tranquil valley within a tiny hamlet of just four houses. Peaceful and private, it offers the perfect escape while being only 3 km from the small market town of Châteaumeillant, in the heart of the historic Berry region of France, now part of the Centre-Val de Loire.
The surrounding area is a landscape of lush rolling countryside, rich farmland, woods, and vineyards, dotted with attractive villages and charming towns waiting to be discovered. Whether your ideal holiday involves exploring châteaux and castles, visiting beautiful gardens, enjoying a day at the by the water on the (lake) beach, tackling a high-ropes adventure, fishing, walking or cycling, browsing a local brocante, or simply relaxing in the sunshine, this region offers something for everyone.
Wildlife is abundant, with deer and red squirrels regularly seen in nearby fields and woodland. The variety of birds, butterflies, and other animals truly has to be seen to be believed. With little to no light pollution, nights are especially magical—an inky black sky filled with stars makes the area a paradise for stargazers.
